The diagram illustrates the various stages involved in the production of jam from fruit. 

Overall, the process consists of a series of steps, beginning with the washing and mashing of fruit and ending with the storage of the finished jam in containers, ready for consumption.

Initially, 4 kilograms of fruit are thoroughly washed under running water to remove impurities. The clean fruit is then mashed using a masher until it turns into a smooth pulp. This pulp is transferred to a cooking vessel, where it is heated over high temperature for ten minutes. During this time, a quarter cup of sugar, two tablespoons of peanuts, and one cup of water are added, and the mixture is continuously stirred with a ladle. 

After the initial cooking, two more cups of sugar and four cups of water are incorporated into the mixture. It is then boiled at a high temperature for an additional 30 minutes to achieve the desired thickness and consistency. Once the cooking process is complete, the hot jam is poured into clean, sterilized containers. These containers are tightly sealed with lids and left undisturbed for one hour, allowing the jam to set properly. In the final stage, the jam is fully prepared and ready to be consumed, for example, as part of a breakfast meal.

The diagram demonstrates the structure of a home smokery and outlines the process used to smoke different types of food.

Overall, the process consists of three main parts, beginning with the intake of fresh air and ending with the smoking of food in the final chamber.

To begin with, fresh air enters the system from the left side through an air vent located below ground level. This air flows into a small underground chamber that is sealed with a lid, and then moves into the fire box where logs are burned. This section is also fitted with a top cover, which helps regulate airflow and maintain a steady source of smoke, which is the essential element in the smoking process.

Subsequently, the smoke generated passes through a sloped pipe that connects the fire box to the main smoking chamber positioned above ground. Within this chamber, food items such as fish and meat are hung from racks. As the smoke rises and circulates around, the food absorbs the smoky flavor while also being preserved over time.
